Chlor*Test CSN Salts Test
The ChlorTest CSN Salts Test system provides field testing for chloride, sulfate, and nitrate contamination on prepared surfaces before coating application. The complete kit combines the standard ChlorTest method for chloride ions with additional sulfate and nitrate testing using the same collected test sample.

The Chlor*Test CSN Salts Test is designed for field measurement of soluble salt contamination before industrial coating application. It measures chlorides, sulfates, and nitrates, contaminants that can remain after surface preparation and may affect coating performance.
These CSN test kits include the standard Chlor*Test method for chloride measurement and adds sulfate and nitrate testing using the same collected test sample. Measurement ranges are 5 ppm to 200 ppm for chlorides, 0 ppm to 100 ppm for sulfates, and 0 ppm to 150 ppm for nitrates.
The complete kit includes five chloride tests, five sulfate tests, five nitrate tests, a photometer, and a portable hard-cover carry case. Genuine ChlorRid® refill kits are available in packs of 5 and boxes of 50 for continued testing.
CSN test kits have a stated shelf life of approximately 18 to 24 months, making the 50-test refill a good value for higher-volume applications.
Test results should be compared with the allowable soluble salt limits specified by the coating manufacturer, project specification, or applicable standard.
